Control Module Configuration Incompatible

    After replacing a PCM on a Ford Explorer I had a few codes I could not understand how to remedy.

    The most puzzling of these was a  U2101:00-0A  Control Module Configuration Incompatible.  This has to do with the SCCM (Steering Column Control Module).

    One clue is I also get a B1380:09-0A Steering Wheel Right Switch Pack, but when I test the right buttons on the steering wheel they work as intended.

    The most minor issue remaining is B1C83:13-0A Rear Defog Relay in the HVAC module but I think I can get this one resolved.

    Has anyone ever seen these DTCs before and figured out how to remedy them?

     Turned out the customer got a steering wheel from another wheel with an option not supported by his vehicle.  

    Once we swapped it out with proper parts, and I updated the software in the PSCM, and SCCM all codes were clear.
